INTERNSHIP POSITION OVERVIEW
In Stax Inc.’s NYC office, we are actively recruiting Interns to work on multi-party and special projects. We are currently incubating initiatives in the energy and education sectors — developing industry working consortia and applying for-profit solutions for social benefit. For this role, we need someone who can collaborate with senior executives and junior resources to shepherd varied processes, stay on top of initiatives, and work to bring people together, attract funding, and broker and close deals. This person will have the opportunity to help grow a business and work on exceptionally innovative, interesting, and diverse projects.
As a part-time Intern, you will serve as a key project team member, responsible for understanding the project issues, structuring analyses, collecting data, and contacting potential donors/philanthropists and business partners. In addition, you may be asked to write business plans, proposals and grants applications. As such, you will have exposure to a broad array of development projects across industry sectors.
Stax is looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week during the school year, and full time over the summer. During the school term, the position will require working out of our New York office an average of 2 part-time days per week. Stax is not looking to simply hand off rote work, but to bring someone onto the team who will deliver high quality input over the long term and derive value from the learning experience. The duration of this internship is 6 months.
