Responsibilities:

North Shore Animal League America is the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world. We are a non-profit organization and since 1944, the League's mission has been saving the lives of pets through adoption, rescue and advocacy initiatives. Every year, the League reaches across the country to rescue, nurture and adopt nearly 20,000 pets into happy and loving homes. Over the years, the League has placed close to 1 million puppies, kittens, cats and dogs into carefully screened homes.

    Viral Marketer Interns Needed

 If you're an animal lover, and are skilled in social media, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking several  interns to help us expand viral outreach for our organization. These positions will involve a significant amount of interaction on social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, as well as viral video production. The ideal candidate is already actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. and is well-connected with the broader social media world. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the growing social media field.

Hours:  10-15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.  Some weekend hours are available.

 

Please note:  Internships opportunities are structured to last a minimum of 12 weeks and are UNPAID.

Qualifications:

Requirements: Candidates must be of good character, punctual, self-motivated and professional. Must demonstrate a genuine passion for the world of social media and online communication.

 

Technical Abilities:

-          Skill with Facebook, MySpace and other social networking websites

-          Skill with YouTube, Google Video and other video posting websites.

-          Ability to film (in some positions), edit content, upload content to social networks, etc.
