Kelley, New York
As a recent graduate with a B.F.A. in graphic design, I am excited to apply my skills in visual design in a professional context. Having previous experience in designing to maintain a brands essence from my internship at YAHOO! Inc., I can appreciate the importance of communication and collaboration within the company in order to produce premiere online experiences. I worked alongside project managers, designers, and the marketing team in order to create unique and innovative design solutions while also thoroughly maintaining the brands values. Based within Yahoo! Media sector I was exposed to design that leveraged all the capabilities of social media and personal technologies in order to provoke passion first within the audience. I learned how to treat your audience as you would a good friend, offer great design with rational, emotional, and meaningful experiences.
As mentioned on my résumé, I also created an original identity and visual system for Gator Growl, the nations largest student-run pep rally. Working closely with the University of Florida to ensure all needs of the University brand were being communicated clearly, I was responsible for managing all projects from conception to creation as well as preparing all print ad mechanicals for final release to publications.
During my time in school I was fortunate enough to learn about the work of design communication, furthered by my participation in the University of Florida’s Jumpstart ART event with IDEO designer Duane Bray. This past experience would serve me well in preparing pitch presentations. My design process capitalizes on concept and strategy development and I strive for the production of successful design solutions that can perform distinctly different strategies than rivals; allowing for an ideal performance while also producing a return on investment for the company.
