Hello all potential employers:
I am a recent PR grad and have been actively looking for a job. I've had two internships, one at a small boutique PR firm and the other at a larger ad agency. I'm excited to start my career, but of course so is everyone else. I'm willing to do internships while searching for a full-time job. I want to keep working in PR, even if it's unpaid and part-time.
During both of my internships, I had similar duties. The main things I did were create media lists, pitch stories to the media and follow up via email and phone calls, and event planning. I have also written some press materials such as press releases, media alerts and newsletter copy.
My main goal is to work in a public relations firm and/or ad agency doing media relations and event planning. I currently live in St. Pete but I want to relocate. The main places I want to live are big cities such as Dallas, New York City, Chicago or San Francisco.
Skills: Microsoft Office, Social Media, Cision, Vocus, AP Style Writing, Organized, Fast Learner, Hard Worker, Adobe Creative Suite 5, willing and able to move :-)
