I hold a BFA from the Appalachian Center for Craft and TN Tech University in Art Education with a focus in Painting. I am a licensed K-12 teacher with endorsements in Art and Special Education. Currently, I am pursuing an MFA in Poetry from UNC Wilmington and completing a graduate assistantship in Social Media Marketing and Web Design at Wilmington's NPR affiliate. I am also a publishing intern at Lookout Books, an imprint of UNCW's press that made a splash this winter when its debut book, "Binocular Vision" by Edith Pearlman, debuted on the cover of the New York Times Book Review. I have worked in social media for Ecotone Journal and Wrightsville Bean Company and held many management positions throughout my employment history.
